Am trying to help a friend locate any details on her mother\'s death.

Helen (Mollie) Pritchard died in August 1960 while her husband Fred Pritchard was a Clerk of Works for an airstrip/airport project with the UK Ministry of Works in Aden. His address was PO BOX 69, RAF Steamer Point.
Does anyone remember the name? Is it possible that she lived on a \'familes compound in Sri Lanka\' as we have been led to believe?
Any help with pointing us in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I was on guard duty on the airfield when the FRA rebelled and set fire to their barracks. Again posting guards at the VIP lobby at the Airfield check in saw the RNFs put aboard their aircraft by armed Argyles!

I find it hard to believe that some people found Aden \"enjoyable\".Our battalion spent most of the time on the streets of crater,a violent and dangerous place,without doubt the worst posting a soldier could get back in the sixties.On our return to the u.k me and my mate Jimmy Smith got a two year posting to Hong Kong with the Lancashire Fusiliers,now thats what I call enjoyable

Arrived in March 1956 after leaving Mauripur which was gradually closing down.
Worked in HQBF in Movements Office. My window had a panoramic view of the harbour so used to spend time watch the various ships arriving and departing.
October some prat decided to invade SUEZ so I was moved to Khormaksar,it was quite hectic. As a result I was 2 months over timex and returned on one of the first Comet 2 flights home
