Hi Mark, Great history! I am a descendent of the Bouctouche Duplessis’ line, my grandfather was Joseph (apparently a IV) His uncle was Stephen and had an “aunt” that was killed in a tornado up there. Joseph and Anna Cormier, had 12 children (as seems to have been the norm) One of whom was my Dad. |

Judging that you have not been active since 2014 Mark I can only assume that you are no longer with us.thank you for the amazing history |

Bon Jour! Merci Beaucoup!!! I am one of the great granddaughters of Olevine Sirois (she married Omerrille Marquis in Salem MA-where I grew up). I am so grateful for all of your research and hard work!!! It has been a dream of mine for a long time to trace my French Canadian ancestry back to Canada (from New England) and I only imagined that I would be able to some day trace my lineage back to France. You have made this happen for me, thank you!!! Please send me an email if you would like to connect with the Salem and Fall River Sirois\' via at the Marquis Family! Happy Holidays!!! Regards Andrea |

My great grandfather was Thatcher Duplisea, grandfather was Judson Duplisea, grandmother was Annie Brennan Duplisea. My father was Lawrence Duplisea. I just started looking into the famiy tree and can trace the Duplisea side back to the about 6 generations or so. I was wondering if you had found any information on her mother Ellen. There seems to be nothing besides her first name. Still putting this all together so any help would be appreciated. |

Bonjour Mark. Liette Sirois |

In my family tree is a tombstone engraved with a loving message from the husband Hermes Emond to his wife Theotiste DuPlessis. I believe her to be known by the name of Theotiste Theroux dit Laferte. I don't know where this fits in to your information, but there it is. The tombstone is in St. Brigid's Cemetery in Millbury Massachusetts. This is under the Diocese of Worcester. The plot is owned by a member of the family of Theresa Army. |
