I just discovered this site and wow! Been doing my own research and found I am a direct descendant of Maurice Sirois dit Duplessis and his mother Marie Francoise Roy. Francois Sirois dit Duplessis, was my 6th. Great Grandfather, through my mothers father Arthur Nourie.

My grandmother is Marie Euphemie Duplessis. She is the daughter of Joseph Duplessis and Euphemie Robichaud. She is buried in Pointe-Sapin, New Brunswick.

Great history! I am a descendent of the Bouctouche Duplessis’ line, my grandfather was Joseph (apparently a IV)
His uncle was Stephen and had an “aunt” that was killed in a tornado up there. Joseph and Anna Cormier, had 12 children (as seems to have been the norm) One of whom was my Dad.

Re Marie Francoise Chouinard

Marie is my 4th great grandmother I gave two Duplessis lines one via Marie Duplessis who married my great grandfather Joachim (Jackson) Sippley/Ferrara

Then the other direct line is via my grandmother Josephine Duplessis who\'s father was Benjamin Joseph Duplessis I am trying to work these lines out thank you for all your hard work. I found some great information on your site which added on to some ancestry work that my aunt had put together. Thank you! My 8th great grandfather was Jean Sirois dit Duplessis from St. Germain, En Laye de Paris, France.
