I’d like to start by naming some fantastic people who helped our 2026 Nationals go off without a hitch: Victor Garcia and his sidekick, Chip. Victor is the foreman, seriously, nothing gets done without him. Somehow, he parts the waves and makes it happen. Our Brother Sam, yes I’m going to use his name has lived down in Hermosillo, Mexico, for four years now with his wife. His Spanish is perfect, and he knows the ropes. Victor’s brother rides with one of the largest MCs there. So of course, you guessed it—some of them rolled into our big blast party. They brought the vibe, the energy, and even a modest number of motorcycle association members who came by to from AZ. It was a blast—no question about that. Victor and Chip, you’re the best! Bill and Linda Greene, who run the day-to-day operation with others—thank you as well. We really appreciate your help. You’re the kind of down-to-earth westerners everyone hopes they get to meet. And to the people who catered the beef and handled all the fixing—everything was perfect. No drama, just straight-up results. Now let’s talk about our ladies roaming around Tucson and Old Tucson. We know you had fun—and we also know every hubby came back acting like their wallet got mugged. That’s probably true for sure. Then there was President Gunner and MJ. And listen… thanks to a few sneaky members, Chip ended up giving them special horses. Yep—special. Right about 500 yards out from the corral, those two horses decided they were taking the “shortest route to home.” And the best part? Watching it unfold was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in real life. Somebody even said, “They shoot horse, don’t they?” I heard it might be the title of an old movie. Not sure if they were kidding—but everyone was laughing so hard it hurt. Again: you’ve never seen that much pink and red skin in your life also from people in the pool mid-day. Guess nobody read the paper about the Arizona sun! This was really special—and me trying to write it up like it actually happened? Yeah… it can’t be done with just words trust me. We also lost a camera out on the highway—about 75 pictures on it, gone like it never existed. Victor put up posters offering a $500 return for the SD card. But still… no bites. The offer was simple: send a picture off the card and the money is yours—and keep the camera. That’s a win-win. So if anyone “finds” it… you know where to find us. Victor will handle it. And yes—the road was dusty, but we were handled by some smart cowboys. They got a very large A/C horse trailer and used it to bring the bikes back, so everybody just needed a quick dust-off instead of a full scrub down. That was one smart trick. They also do weddings and family group stuff, but they were getting ready for another big makeover while we were there. Personally, I thought it was a place where anybody could go and have a good time. And if we don’t ever have another one, and say we only get smaller ones, this one is still the best in our history. When some of us met MJ and other VOVMC members in GA back in 2005 I think, trying to get in the COC, we never knew we’d end up patching over from being a local club for years and years. We lost a couple along the way—they weren’t Veterans, but they still ride with us back home. That says a lot, that friends can still be friends. The VOVMC NOMADS is our home. Time is short also so get out there and ride. Sometime in August MJ will be here, looking forward to him and others coming for some curves in the roads! Anyway back to the story. MJ would call and email once in a while. But around 2015, he said things weren’t going as planned back there—and well… we became history, and then VOVMC members. It was a smart move. He even said he saw it coming in 2014, so one more of his wild ideas went to work and been having fun ever since. And it was an amazing sight to see him get his 25-year Silver patch. Now this is —what do they call it?—bullion thread, like the old days. I’ll post a picture later, because a special case is being made. He also said he’d get something else for his cut—so clearly he wasn’t done with his award. Oh yes—and we also had to have some fly-ins for different reasons. We came from many states. For Brothers who couldn’t take the heat, had other health issues, or just couldn’t come—don’t think you weren’t with us. You were there in spirit, loud and clear. Our Special Guest and Brothers from Thailand, Thank you! You are some special dudes for being AF and NAVY. Never seen guys in their 70\'s roll like you guys did. We needed to have your blood pulled just to make sure your clean being we were so close to the border. lol We thank your whole Chapter and Officers for sending such special guys that had that just young dude way of thinking. Man, you rocking and glad you came back here. We are NOW going to show you some GA. hospitality! We’re a class of Veterans we hope will be known and never forgotten: a Vietnam Era Veteran. Man… what a memory in 2026. Webmaster Tank VoV Nomad PS: WISH I COULD TELL MORE BUT MAYBE WE CAN GET THE VID UP AND YOU JUDGE ;-) WE PROBABLY ARE GOING TO BUILD A NEW PAGE STILL. YES WE INDEED HAD NATIONALS EARLY ON THE JULY 4TH HOLIDAY WEEK. WE POSTED LATER BUT IT WAS ALWAYS INTENDED THEN. ;-) |

Have to get this in and summer\'s here and lots of great things in the works. Enjoy your 4th of July and it\'s our Country\'s 250th also! It will be a Blast-Off for Nationals! We have really outdid ourselves and our Brother who handles these things has just reached the top. Even if half as good as in the past this will blow right past it. We just never now when these will stop. What a special year. Well the Babe for the month is special also, right out of a east coastal state \"MISS BAMBI\" and her baby.

WWEBMASTER TANK VoV/NOMAD |

Just some great news and then a rant. I\'ll keep it short as work is plying up. We got everyone\'s soft colors in and for you that wanted a new set of your colors you got it. (MJ and our Thai Bros that said no way, when you see them you will know why, first members there) That has never been done before and for sure at the Clubs expense. Having a 25th year Ann. for MJ at Nationals and with two Brothers from Thailand being here was what pushed it thru. Oh, they will be here for the summer also. Shipping bikes cost 3000 a piece, not this old country boy. However, having a large company by their standards is peanuts I guess. The rant FRT! I have had it with that and so should you. Ai and Photoshop I\'m so far ok with and use but not Face recognition. Think, you buy a new 40,000 scoot and get ready to start it someday and its a No go as you shaved. Crap! Hey, you maybe can\'t even buy groceries, go to the movies or get into a freaking hotel room. Took the wife to the Doctor\'s office and they wanted a photo of her ID for her appointment. Thought she was going to eat my truck seats up before she even got home. I\'m not kidding. I had to do it to fly and was still bitchin a week later. It\'s like going to a webpage and a cookie pops up no big deal? They are not asking for FRT before hand. Well I\'m done , but we should be more like those folks in the buggies I bet they haven\'t that problem. If it comes to a vote ever where you live hit that no button. Webmaster Tank VOV NOMAD |

We have received a very positive feedback on no Support patches at least in my neck of the woods as it\'s been close to a year or more. Another smart move by the board. Than seeing one full patch riding with three support patches. We are the Veterans of Vietnam MC. I\'ll be gone for a couple of weeks but the GB is covered. The specific content of the \"Silent Promise\" oath of the Veterans of Vietnam MC (VOVMC) is: \"Our commitment to exist until all our brothers are silent one day\". This oath profoundly embodies the organization\'s core spirit they do not pursue perpetual existence or expansion, but rather place the brotherhood our members above organizational form. Since its founding in 2001 by Mad Jack and Lowdown , VOVMC has remained committed to serving only veterans of the Vietnam War Era. Now, as the founding members grow older, the club has chosen at some point to end in a dignified manner: no longer accepting new members, ceasing support patches, and not establishing affiliated organizations . We will complete this life\'s journey together with our last Brothers, using \"silence\" to complete the most solemn vigil for each other. This is not only a preservation of wartime memories, but also the ultimate practice of the belief that \" Veterans help each other and grow older together .\" Now don\'t forget the RUN FOR WALL 2026. GO this time if you haven\'t. Webmaster Tank-VOV Nomad |

Got a email from a friend on riding in Georgia. Here goes...Buddy, better bring your A-game for the \"Gap Loop.\" Between the brake-shredding hairpins of Hog pen and the madness of Wolf Pen, your scoot will be leaning more than a one-legged pirate at a dive bar. No trip is legit without surviving Blood Mountain, where the turns are smoother than a jar of illegal shine and Moonshiner 28, a road so twisty it’ll make you go back to Florida.(if you can) It’s a high-speed coaster built by mountain goats, where the only thing tighter than the switchbacks is the grin on your ugly face going home. Yea we will toss a few while your here. Don\'t forget my stuff for Nationals either. WEBMASTER TANK VOV NOMAD |

VETERANS OF VIETNAM MC Heritage, Identity, and National Lineage FOUNDATIONAL HISTORY The legacy of the Veterans of Vietnam MC was established in 2001 in Springfield, Missouri, by its founders, \"Mad Jack and Lowdown. However \" As a Life and Charter Member, \"Mad Jack\" serves as the custodian of all records, preserving the history and integrity of the National and Mother Chapter he established. Official club history can be found at vovma.org and vovmc.com. THE COLORS AND INSIGNIA The club’s identity is visually defined by its colors: Top Rocker: \"Veterans of Vietnam\" Center Patch: A rounded Vietnam Service Ribbon, featuring the dates 1959–1975 and a map of Vietnam. Side Patch: MC Cube. Bottom Rockers: Missouri and America and Thailand. Commemorative Patch: An \"IN MEMORY\" patch is positioned below the bottom rocker to honor fallen brothers. THE NOMAD DESIGNATION The NOMAD rocker is a cornerstone of the club’s heritage. Initially positioned below the Missouri rocker to identify members of the Mother Chapter, the NOMAD designation is now also utilized across all 50 states to identify members who operate nationally, signifying a unified, coast-to-coast brotherhood. \"FOR WHEN ALL OUR BROTHERS ARE SILENT ONE DAY\" What you see here, What you hear here, What is said here, stays here When you leave here. Preserving the Legacy since 2001-This was done for our 25th Year and MJ will received his custom patch. We are delaying Nationals a week so other MC\'s can attend. It will be hot! There is something truly amazing in the eyes of children when they receive toys, games, etc. We have all Dreamed about something special when we were young and in December, those Dreams came thru for some great kids. First thing we need to start with Our Founder, his Misses, and a couple other Members from the Missouri Chapter driving to Oklahoma. There the State Chapter handed out Gifts and some sacks of Food. I heard and seen the clips, GREAT JOB BROTHERS! Then they caught a flight to Georgia and on to our party. Again, if your a connoisseur of eating and what old men are not, then you know the results. The authenticity of Georgia cooking cannot be matched, ask anyone from here. :grinning: The handling of the Gifts were left to the Women this year, who in this writers opinion was the right move. We had Members come from Oregon, Northern ILL. and everywhere in between. We ended having more like 70% attend. Thanks from all the Officers, as many had to get back to their families for Christmas and they know that each day is a step to the end. The Extensive knowledge in planning has been the brain child of one Brother here and so far he is pushing the bar higher yearly. THANKS TO EVERYONE! Last two things, This shows that giving makes a difference. We are asking of everyone and anyone to Donate time or Money directly to the Dept. of VA Hospitals or Veterans home in any way you can. Just call the VA near you and they will hook you up with the right people. Giving directly, you know they get it and like others we get the silent pat on the back. Give it a try as we will all be their at sometime. Lets give 2026 a Nuclear roll, so no just sitting waiting on a slow roll. WEBMASTER TANK VoV NOMAD |

I would like to start this off by saying to everyone, Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We are really going to have a Great 2026 and have already got a running start at many events even the opening up of a new International chapter. Who would have thought. However that\'s one reason we are posting early this Seasons Greetings. Next, our Children\'s toy collection has been more than excellent. Items like building sets, dolls, action figures, educational toys, plush animals, vehicles, and craft kits, that will help encouraging creativity, learning, and imaginative play, with popular items including LEGO, Barbie, Disney characters, and classic wooden toys, are in the donations. We had some deep pockets throw in some very good money. Thanks to Every Member, Spouses and Families, Supporters etc. This is going to make many Kids Happy. You really have come thru and next weekend they will be handed out. We should have a 60% turnout or better. BIG THUMBS UP to Everyone! Webmaster Tank VoV NOMAD |

The Labor Day Run was just outstanding. Our founder met Brothers from different regions in Rolla, Mo. and escorted them down into the woods to a place called Eminnence, Mo. It was a scenic ride to say the least I was told. Then after staying at a great place it was on to Memphis, Tn. Heard also it got a just a little cool in late August at night in them hills too. Coming from the Southeast I would have liked to have seen the Big Bluff and other places, but maybe another time. (Pictures were great) Listen if you have never been to Memphis your missing out on great food, places, fun, you name it. Weather was warm and those little mosquitoes were busy. Take a riverboat ride like some did and have some great BBQ with fixin\'s. Beale Street is another place to just grab some more great food, cold drinks and hear some of the Best Blues in the USA. It was a fantastic Holiday. Days are going to get shorter so pour on the miles everyone. Webmaster Tank VoV NOMAD |

(It\'s early but time to get this out) We have a new Prez! Our former President Kip has done just a great job, but like he said, It\'s Time for Another to step up. It can be a hard job and others need to do the work also. Our Vice President is now the New National President \"Gunner\". A former Combat Grunt in the Nam with the 11th Cav, so he\'s been there and done it. Let\'s start this by everyone had to save some serious $$$ for National. We started out from many places and came from East and West, South and North to attend. Just to arrive at a GREAT Ranch near Hoback, WY. We cannot tell the Family run business enough just how grateful we are for all the great lodging, Food and just the most beautiful area you can set your eyes on. Watching beef being cooked the cowboy way with corn on the cob etc. was well just amazing. Some of the girls went to another Ranch for horseback riding and heard the oohs and wow\'s later on that one. Then the ride up to Tetons and into Yellowstone park was just great.(Free for those with passes) I have to say don\'t miss a place called Mammoth with freaking animals just walking around town. (Crazy for a guy from GA. who would eat those) It was there we broke up and some started down and others went up. In Livingston, Mt. a couple of the Amigos MC were at the Cenex station from Washington State, then on down the interstate in a little place called Big Timber, Mt. we ran into the CVMA members who were going to Sturgis early. They were just to many MC\'s and Groups to mention but it was just fantastic to see formation riding at it\'s best. Rain and then Some more Heavy Rain! Some were lucky headed east in that the HQ RV was chasing with our big trailer and a 3500 RAM truck was pulling a six bike trailer also. For sure we were was not able to ride thru some of it, so we crowded in and just waited it out a little. Heck, Doesn\'t matter when your wet you just ride till your dry. Others were not so lucky but that\'s the way it can be. The Cool news, is some Members got their 10 years Custom patches. It\'s being tossed around to maybe let those be worn but not sure as many like the no small patch rule and no names, so we don\'t look like a HOG chapter going down the road. hehe...With all kidding aside, this was the Best National or for that part any Ride many stated they have ever been on. It was warmer than usual, I heard by their standards but still nice and cool at night. Try getting in the Snake or Yellowstone rivers for some of the most scenic visions you will ever have. Breathtaking as they say! Can we up this next year, Maybe? We have already started and it takes timing and clearing with people to make things happened. The 2025 National\'s will be hard to surpass that\'s a hard fact. Again Congrats to President Gunner you have earned the slot!! Webmaster Tank |

Yesterday was June 6th. In 1944 the United States led the most important campaign ever devised in WWII, We know it as D-Day. Never allow future generations to forget that the Greatest Generation pulled this off, or downplay the sacrifices they made for us. We attended an event and very few of them were there, so this reminds us they will soon be all gone. Never Forget. Webmaster Tank |
