Yesterday was June 6th. In 1944 the United States led the most important campaign ever devised in WWII, We know it as D-Day. Never allow future generations to forget that the Greatest Generation pulled this off, or downplay the sacrifices they made for us. WHEN WE STARTED WE WERE A ALL VIETNAM ERA MEMEBERSHIP MC. YOU HAD TO SERVE HONORABLY FROM 1959-1975 TO BE A MEMBER.

AS TIME WENT BY, WE ALLOWED OUR WIFES, GF\'s, CHILDREN SERVING IN THE MILITARY AND EVEN A FEW FRIENDS TO WEAR A SUPPORT ROCKER. THEY HAVE BEEN A GREAT HELP IN EVERY WAY TO OUR MC. WE CANNOT THANK THEM ENOUGH! HOWEVER, AS WE WILL BE COMING TO THE END IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS AS MOST ARE IN THEIR 70\'s, WE ARE GOING BACK TO ONLY THOSE WHO SERVED DURING THE VIETNAM ERA TO WEAR ANY PART OF OUR PATCH. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO TRUELY EARNED THE RIGHT TO BE MEMBERS OR TO WEAR IT. AGAIN, NO MORE SUPPORT PATCHES SHALL BE WORN. EVERY MEMBER HAS AGREED SO THEY WILL BE RETIRED 4-1-25. WE SHALL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR HELP, AND SUPPORT TO OUR MC. It\' time for another \"SOUND OFF\"

Heard and read on a Biker News site about people still
giving out MC patches. (This was just close to my home State of GA. too) They get them given to them for just showing up somewhere. Like the Military, you do Basic first and some just don\'t make it thru. Sometime by no fault of their own. Also they don\'t take home a participation Trophy either. :-)

It takes more to belong to a motorcycle club than filling out paperwork, paying dues, and putting on a patch. You have to be committed and support the club. You have to ride out of state on occasions. The members of a club become family. You do all you can to help your family. If your club member needs help, you need to be there without hesitation, worry, or fear, just do it. Always have your brother\'s back. It takes time and money, but you need to be ready, willing and able to do whatever it takes. That\'s why most people don\'t want to be part of a motorcycle club. They don\'t want to be committed or give the time. Real Clubs, don\'t want wannabe\'s, \"patch collectors\", or people lacking commitment. They want brothers they can depend on who are willing to do for the club whatever needs to be done. If you aren\'t ready and willing to do this, don\'t sign up. Has your propects already paid their repects to all your National Officers? Have they visited your Presidents Home? I bet not!

Remember the members of Vietnam Veterans Era clubs have something special. Not many Americans can be part of these clubs. They are an elite class of Veterans. They served their country when it wasn\'t very popular to do so. It didn\'t matter if they were in-country, supporting, or serving wherever our government wanted us. They did it with pride and commitment. I believe that is why the members of Vietnam Era clubs support the military 100%. We\'ve been there, done that. They understand what the Military goes thru. They (WE) pledge to never, never have them feel what we felt. When you wear the patch, you represent all of us. Give Respect and get Respect. Be an ass and get treated like an asshole. We are committed to the \"Brotherhood\" of our club and ride for those who can\'t. Be proud of who you are. We need to remember our Vietnam Era Brothers who went before us. I recently stated I would touch on the word Brother and it\'s so loosely used in the world nowdays. Like giving out patches, it\'s hard to take and hear. Most people know who keeps using the word when they shouldn\'t and also giving out patches to whom, a 70 year old plus?. I guess that\'s why they have great riding groups everywhere and mostly you just hear them called by their name or road name. Man old school is still the right way and the only way. It\'s the Honorable way in a not so Honorable world too. Look in the mirror long and hard, are you buying a MC patch or really earning it? Stay dry or warm whatever is needed. Let it be a short winter!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025. Word of warning to our readers, Never drink from a Blue Mason Jar!! The Christmas party was outstanding from the Music to the food. However, drinking anything other than from the keg got just down right dangerous to your health I promise you. When I was 60 I could still do it but drinking homemade hooch from a Blue Mason jar was just downright stupid. Trying to ride naked even in the woods just didn\'t work out either. Like that song says, I just don\'t look good naked anymore.:joy: Well I\'m heading back to the kitchen for some more Black coffee. Wishin the Riding World a fantastic year in 2025 from us to you. It\' time for another \"SOUND OFF\" and remind everyone to get things together for Next Years Hog Hunt also.


Patch Collecting! WTF is still up with that? Are Clubs and Associations so desperate and hopeless for members that their giving them away? Maybe someone should tell them the real way to prospect and also earn those patches they sew on. Even the CVMA has guidelines to gain them. I spoke to a rider at a Harley Dealer the other day, a Vietnam Era Veteran like myself. As he went along his boasting became to really take on a new light. He belongs to the ALR, CVMA, and in the past three MC\'s. Right now, He\'s looking for another MC to join as I write this post. How can you really first be a Brother (That\'s another post for another time using the word Brother) friend and everything in between if you belong to so many? I barely have the time to speak with every Brother we have in a month, not forgetting the emails with jokes, visit the one\'s I can, etc. Our President is almost always somewhere going someplace. If this is you, your doing a disservice to the Memory of many Club Members over many decades and you know it. Whew, now I feel better.


The Christmas party is still on for those of you who are close and don\'t read your emails and hate my texting. I hate texting with my fat fingers too. Now it\'s posted on the board so read your orders of the day. :upside_down_face:

It\'s with the greatest pleasure that next year, Our President, his Misses and Our National Sgt.-At-Arms (who speaks also high German) and maybe our Founder will be flying to GERMANY to charter a chapter of the VoVMC. This has been in the works since two brothers, one Army and the other Air Force joined. It was a very hard thing to keep it under wraps and also have them get the others needed before the deadline of July, 2023. Without getting into to much info and business it was done with one extra needed. All these men served in Germany at some time and are married to German Nationals and have children and also some grandchildren and live in Germany. Lots of different rules but this will be done and has been agreed to already. We are so thankful to Major players and even some non clubbers for without their help, none of this would have been pulled off. Now for those who have been playing a close watch, their was a crumb left for more news. They will have their own German domain website and emails so keep a watch out for that also.
Thankful is really the word to use. We are a dying breed and their will never be anymore Vietnam Era Veterans that only allow them. What fantastic news before the Holiday. I\'ve been really biting the old nails the closer we came to that final word. Just Outstanding News!

Their are many Motorcycle clubs for just about anything and so I won\'t hash that over. Had a Brother phone me about this so again we brought it up. Next, We are \"NOT\" taking new Members anymore period. Becoming a Patcholder in our Club took time and a lot of effort and we do not sell patches. The word Brother is another thing also and I could fill up this post on the subject. Well now, that\'s clear as Georgia mud and riding is where I\'m going. TANK OUT

I\'m going to start by what I seen at a large 1%er, Bikers, and Motorcycle clubs rally, etc. recently. This is just my view but this can be across the board when you don\'t know your Membership, Prospects and hang-arounds. I started in a local MC decades ago here in GA. Just a few friends getting together and finally came up with a patch for our backs and we become a local M/C. In those days it was easier trust me. Now you have people, who others in their Club never even meet their Full Membership or Prospects and get PATCHED in somehow. How does that work? Our lifestyle is about Brotherhood and trusting the person standing next to you when you need something or for that fact anything!

If you are interested in just talking to anyone in a club, especially a 1% club, I would recommend learning MC Etiquette and Rules!! A big one is don\'t approach a member of a 1% club and touch their vest, like putting your hand on their shoulder when you walk up to one. They take their Colors very serious and touching it is a sure sign of disrespect. Some of these bikers will feel they have to show their brothers how they handle this disrespect more than likely for sure.

With that being said, Respect is a huge word in the Motorcycle Club world, be it a 1% world or just the M/C world. This is what happens when you don\'t really learn or teach your Prospects or for that matter Membership. I had just seen something last month and it wasn\'t pretty, which in turn got me to sound-off on here.

I hope I\'ll be able to shed a little light on what I\'ve learned through my travels. Bikers are all pretty much the same the world over. Well coffee is finished and so am I. hahaha TANK-OUT
