Re: Washington coast opener

Looks like I am solo thursday--crew coming in thursday night. Suppose to be nice--pity to go all the way out to 72 square solo--but what the heck--fishing is fishing aand a nice hli done solo is a great challenge.

Re: Washington coast opener

Jack--mised ya up there!! Of course there had to be a good 600 boats running out of there, but did not see your boat.
The big hali's are inside--all the big ones I saw caught were at the Garbage dump or in closer(65 lbs to 140). The guys running out were getting the smaller ones--teens to 30's. Wind was bad--had to go while you could--saw winds upwards of 40 MPH 2 days--ouch!!

Re: Washington coast opener

Hey, sorry about missing you, had more people show than expected, Hey, did you make it outside? We fought the wind all week, got skunked at the garbage dump, never made it outside, didn't want to chance it, sounded like the coast guard was buisy and several boats got into trouble, a couple guys staying next to us said it took them a full tank and 4 hours to get back, we all stayed in sekiu, friday that had to let a friend off at neah bay and hitch hike back to get the truck and trailer, soo rough thay couldn't make it back to sekiu. going up to the derby on fathers day.
