Does anyone remember the "history" behind the tree that the Roosevelt family had transplanted on campus? I think it was across from Niles Hall in the grassy area on the other side of The Slab.

The sign in front of the tree states "This white oak known as the Teddy Roosevelt Oak was donated to Roosevelt Military Academy by Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt from their Sagamore Estate of Oyster Bay, NY to commemorate Mr. Roosevelt's 80th birthday. It was planted and dedicated at the Nov. 5, 1938 homecoming."
