Recently relocated to Antioch, TN from Virginia Beach, VA

I think it's just fantastic to be able to network with others who have hearing impariments such as myself. I have been wearing hearing aids for about 15 years. It hasn't been easy, but I've managed during those times when I feel as if it's the people with perfect hearing that actually make me feel [at times] like I have a hearing problem. I say that to say that many don't take the time to either speak clearly, or to speak to my face, versus trying to have a conversation with me with their backs facing me.

I see that there hasn't been many entries into this guestbook, however I hope that will soon change.

I am so glad to see soooo many websites linked for the deaf I am a beginner who became interested in ASL during a brief employment w/a deaf woman. She was very patient during my fauz pas so when I was blessed w/funding to go back to school I knew I wanted to learn more! This site was required for one of our assignments but I'm very glad to know about it and to become a part of it, hope to be able to attend some of the Nashville functions
