I only spent a short time in Mileham. I made my first brass rubbing in the church.
I had made a promise to myself, that when I was old enough, I would have a pint in the village pub. Unfortunately by the time that I returned, the pub was no longer a pub.

Getting nostalgia about my birth place. Wish my ashes to be scattered either in the valley or on the hills of winterton beach. Once had a bad accident jumping along the concrete blocks, it was a great passtime for us kids. The blocks are no longer there , the sea has taken them. Enough. Wyn.

I enjoyed reading the information and viewing the pictures posted of All Saints, Thurlton, Norfolk. If my research is correct, some great^ grandparents were buried there in 1819. Thank you for taking the time to share your work on the Web. :)

I first visited England in 1935 and have made many visits, since. My father came from Yarmouth and sang in the choir at St Nicholas. My brother was baptized there in 1935. My grandparents lived in Corton and are buried in the church yard of the little church as you enter Corton from the North. My maiden name FROST is Danish.

I first read Parson Woodforde\'s diary when I was a student, a half-century ago, and was enthralled by its intimate depiction of rural life in England during the Augustan age. My wife and I visited All Saints Weston Longeville during an extended visit to England in October 1981. (During that same trip we agreed with Woodforde that nearby Norwich might well be the \'fairest city\' in England.) Many thanks for your work.

Has used your wonderful site before to research churches related to my English ancestors. Now I\'m here in Norwich researching Michael Metcalf and using your site, I\'m going to walk to and see the tower that remains of St Benedicts and the building that was St Edmunds. Thank you for making this possible! Great site.

A most informative site. I have set myself the task of photographing Norfolk\'s churches, or as many as I can, but you have already done it comprehensively and it is so useful to have a detailed description of each church. I have to say that some have suffered some neglect since you visited. St Peter at DUNTON, for example. While the interior is well maintained, the churchyard is very overgrown and ivy is beginning to obscure the stained glass on the North side.
