Walk the area in and around Ludham a lot. I was interested to read about the history of the church. Thank you for your information and very good pictures. I love churches like this that are still so much part of the Village centre.

Visited Sisland church as part of a reconnoiter for an 8 mile walk for a party of a dozen in May 2015. A really quaint church where I have been given permission for us to eat our mid day sandwiches before returning to Seething nearby.

I am one of two Church Wardens of St.John the Baptist Church in Garboldisham. We have many visitors looking for either family history or just visiting old Churches. We are always happy to see people come and visit us, St.John\'s is a thriving church with services every week without fail. Always coffee and a chat afterwards. Come and see us.

I am researching the Rede family and checked this church for the Blennerhassett family. What a wonderful feeling the church has. Your photos are really impressive, as they show so much detail.

We visited Oxburgh Hall today and the RC chapel there. I notice on your website that you state entry is on the North side - this is in fact the West side as the chapel appears to be on a North/South alignment. The guide didn\'t know why. Does anyone?

In doing my family research I discovered that my father\'s side of the family came mainly from the Neatishead, Irstead, Smallburgh area. I was particularly interested in my great great grand parents John ( a shoemaker in Neatishead) and Jemima Jones. Jemima, whose maiden name was Balls seems to have been an especially strong and feisty woman whom I would have loved to have known.

I was looking for a record of ministers at the Church in Hingham.

Rev. John Yonges was not allowed to board the Mary Anne of Yarmouth in 1637. Some say he went to Hingham in 1637 and then to New Haven Connecticut in 1640 then to Long Island to set up the first church in New York. Others say that he was smuggled aboard some ship and made it to Salem in 1637 and then to New Haven. So I am trying to solve this puzzle. I have visited nearly every corner of England when I lived there in the 1990s, except for East Anglia. I think that I have to go back.
