Going to Port Hardy end of July to fish with do it yourself outfit. Looking for tips on fishing for halibut near Port Hardy since I will be limited as to how far I can go in these lodge boats. Names of area, GPS coordinates, etc. would be most appreciated.

Try the area off Barry Islet in Ripple Passage.
Also cod and some halibut around 50.48.013

thats the area off Doyle in the Gordons.
Pine island area is best but its a run in a smaller boat. Its also more exposed.
