California: Shelter Cove Fishing Reports

Hey guys
I am super excited about this years fishing opportunities in and around the shelter cove area. I know shelter cove is not the most world renowned halibut grounds, but so far out of 3 trips only a short ride from Mario's Marina, we have landed 2 buts, 16 and 18lbs. Not bad. Well, tight lines good fishing.

I've been to Shelter Cove and know it's a great place to catch halibut. If you're looking for Pacific Halibut go a bit north and find the banks with about 200 to 300 water and work the underwater structure. You will get some nice halibut!
