2016 REUNION

Here are the details for the upcoming Roosevelt Military Academy Reunion:.

The festivities will be the Friday through Sunday, August 26-28.2016. and we will be staying at the Holiday Inn in Rock Island. Room rates will be the same as the last reunion at $89.00 per night. When making your reservations, please let them know that you are with the Roosevelt Military Academy reunion so you get the negotiated rate.

After checking in aat the hotel, we have set up a welcoming room at Jumer's Casino in Rock Island. It will be available from Noon till Midnight. Stop by to get reacquainted with your old classmates. There will be a cash bar available. Gambling will also be available at the casino for your amusement. Later in the day, there will be a buffet dinner, which will cost $40.00 per person. The property provides a shuttle to go back and forth between the hotel and the casino. However, if you decide to drive, it is only about ten minutes away. If you are not interested in the casino, there will be free pizzas for dinner at the hotel.

On Saturday morning, there will be a breakfast at the Fire Station in Aledo. The Aledo volunteer firemen will be serving up warm, delicious pancakes. After that there is nothing scheduled until dinner.

This particular weekend in Aledo celebrates antique days, which will feature the main street car show. There are also others places to visit, such as the new 911 memorial (located across the street from the armed forces memorial), including a section where the R.M.A. alumni have purchased pavers, the Teddy Roosevelt Statue, the campus, and the museum (in which a lot of RMA memorabilia is located). There should be plenty of things going on in Aledo that day to keep your time well occupied. If you need transportation to get to Aledo, there will be enough people driving, so that should not be a problem. That night there will be a buffet dinner at the holiday Inn. The dinner will cost $40.00 per person with a cash bar.

During the Saturday dinner there will be a $5 raffle. Two lucky winners will receive their hotel rooms free for Friday and Saturday nights.

Sunday morning there will be a free continental breakfast (paid for by the Association) followed by a business meeting, which will then conclude the weekend activities.
