Went with FISHDOC Saturday - caught a bunch from below Grassy to below Island Creek - ranged from 12-18 feet. Trolled with a 3-way rig (chartreuse Roostertails or red/white rooster tails pulled down by chrome or chartreuse Spoonplugs). Also found some suspended out in 45-50 feet of water about 15-17 feet deep.
Kept all we wanted and threw back several times that many. After we found a concentration of them we dropped down 3 hook lines with 1/2 to 1 oz. weights on the end with cut perch or worms - brought them in 3 at a time. A good way to ruin a kid or do wonders for this 50 year old.
