Rainy start to the day but still worth it. Started by trying to get bait at the HWY 15 bridge at Longwood. I really need some casting net practice. 2 hrs, 8 shad. 4-6 inches. Had to go back to Bobcats to buy bait.
Caught 11 cats. 9 blues 4-12 lbs (est) 2 smaller channels. Kept the 5 smallest for din din and released the rest. 3 stripers. 32,34,35 inchers. Released all those. Honestly missed as many as I caught. Cats mostly I think.
All caught drifting slip bobber rigs between Goat Island and marker 14. Fished at 25-30 feet in 50-60 feet of water. 10AM-4PM
Last couple times I was at Buggs it was so windy I saw a chicken lay the same egg 3 times. Wish I could have gotten a little of it today. Hardly a puff and when it did it kept coming from a different direction. Made for a lot of sweat but worth it. tightlines!
