I see folks getting shad from the rocks across from Staunton View (I dunno what size). Folks have told me they are having trouble with getting shad in Marina Cove lately. I am finding nice shad in the midlake coves between RR and Junkman's on both sides. Specifically, I'm finding them in the afternoon and early evening in the coves. I am having luck in 6-10ft of water against the side of where the channel falls off into the deepest part of the old stream path. I'm having reasonable luck throwing flips (but sometimes these are too small butterbeans). I am having best luck easing around on the boat and throwing onto the tops of shad I see on the finder. Another thing that is working right now is to stop the boat just after dark and shine a light into 6-10ft of water for a bit and then throw the lit spot. Generally I'm getting excellent bait (8-12inch) in 10 to 20 tosses of less, luck to everybody...jfo
