looking to come up soon from asheboro NC to do some bow fishing. i realize i've missed the carp spawn but any recommendations from you locals on the best time between now and fall to shoot some carp and/or gar?

Right now, the gar (and lots of them) are on about every point between Clarksville and Grassy Creek on the eastern shore. They are on the points to just inside the mouth of the coves. Can't miss them busting the shad.

that's something I've always wanted to try, I saw a 30 minute clip on a my "road trips" CD and it looks like fun. Good Luck, and like the man said, kill 'em all, we don't need 'em.
