Does anyone have any suggestions on what would be a good brand of downrigger rod to buy? Just bought 2 downriggers to go with my 4 leadcore lines and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them? By the way, caught 6 stipers including a 32 incher near the powerlines in eastland creek on sunday afternoon.

We use 2 Cabela's 8 1/2 foot action rods, course my dad is the one that bought them prolly over 5 years ago but they seem to do well. 6 Stripers sounds great man, Im still trying for my first one this summer and I have no luck at all. I put out 4 lead core rods + 2 downrigger and I have gone about 8 times. I live south of palmer point right on the lake we should go fishing together sometime. What part of the lake do you live on?
