OK guys need a little help. I've fished in santee a few times and we caught a fish the locals call a mudfish. It has a head like a bluecat no whiskers long fin on back and teeth in it's mouth. The one's Ive caught in santee were the color of mud. Saturday night me and a buddy who has fished santee with me were fishing up the dan and we caught one. Everthing was the same but the color. It was colored more like a bluecat but it still had the teeth. Anybody know what this fish is??

Sounds like a bowfin.

Definitely a bowfin...aka blackfish, grinnel, mudfish, ect. Do a yahoo search for "bowfin photo."
