white bass fishing

I see in the fishing reports that Bluestone and
Gravel Hill are good spots to catch some white bass..can some of you guys give me some pointers on the best techniques and lures..and as well how they look on a hummingbird 300 fishfinder.
Thanks

Re: white bass fishing

small crank baits and in line spinners work good and also live shad.troll arround points and flats.they will appear on the screen in a school, but remeber blues, crappie and also stripers do to.look for shools of shad working the water and if you see fish spitting in the school they are white bass.i know it sounds funny but thats the only why to tell you.when you see it you will know.
