shad report

Went out tonite and threw a bunch of places just to see what would happen.
Threw the pylons near the Clarksville side of the new bridge up against the pylons. Shad were scattered with every other netload paying off 4 or so 6-10 inchers. Very few if any over 10 inches. Remember that bluegills in a castnet are not legal.
Threw the pylons of the RR bridge on clk side, in center of bridge and against the OKE side. The center pylons paid 1-3 6-10 inchers every other throw. The CLK side pylons pretty much paid zippo. The OKE side pylons were most productive with 4 or so 6-10 inchers pretty much every throw. Caught one bait on the RR over 12 inches.
Threw the longwood bridge and got 3 or 4 baits the whole time...worst productive place.
If you want butterbeans (4-6 inchers) the cove mouths and centers of the coves in smooth water are paying off. Just watch the surface for a few mins and throw the "ripples" the big shoals make and you get a squillion (I really hate it when that happens).
If you want really big gizzards (more than 10 inches) they are in the shallows; they were scattered right on the ripraps and edge willows etc. I did not get two in any throw...
Be safe everybody....jfo
