Every year when the stripers go to spawn up in the Dan and Roanoke Rivers they are stressed out pretty bad. By the time they get back into the lake and Nutbush Creek they are really stressed. This annual run takes its toll on some of the stripers. This year it seems to be more that usual. My opinion is that more fish are making the run so more are stressed. The bioligist say the same thing and have inspected the "floaters".Most of them are rather small stripers. Oddly this may be good for the population of fish. A good spawn means more fish down the road.
