I was wondering how the blues are doing around BlueStone and Buffalo drifting the last few days with the warmer/hot weather?

We had a little luck up the Staunton this weekend, picked up (2)14#'s (1) 12#, and a 20# using 8-10" whole shad. Lost quite a few more that let go just before we picked up the rod.

Anyone have an update on Cats around Buffalo and Bluestone?

We've been catching a few Blues in the Staunton, below Brookneal nothing big though all 8 - 20lbs.

Saturday the Gar fish were spawning thick below Clarkton. They were banging into the boat. Needless to say we didnt catch but two teenager blues with all that going on.

Fished below 360 in Staunton this morning and caught a 16# blue looked like it had spawned out, quite thin in the belly. Lost another nice fish. Also saw lots of Gar breaking the top.
