The fish was supposed to be on display in Cabelas's huge tank, but the fish died during transport.

Looks like to me, there's already one world record swimming in a tank.. This one, well seems to me would have had a hell of a better chance of survival if it would have been released... Im glad they "say" they took every precautionary measure to make sure this fish was comfortable... I respect that, If it was me, i would have released the fish, with or with out certification of the new world record... just my .02
