Went night fishing at Hyco and caught a few fish one being six and half pound largemouth and a catfish like I have never seen before,it had six spines two on each side and two on top,the spines were right next to each other.One of the spines would be smooth shafted with the sharp point,the one right beside it was serated with a point.I caught it in my castnet which is first time I ever caught a catfish in my castnet,it was all tangled up so I was trying to unravel it when the serated spine cut me fairly bad,it looked like a channel cat with spots but Ive never seen one with six spines and weighed about pound and half.I had to cut it out of thenet too,any ideas what that was??
