we fished from 23 to 24 today 8 lbs was the best,but there was shad on top of the water that we dipped up in the fish net 12 inchers.why were they like this never seen it be for.

they looked if they were tring to die,they wont scared at all,you would see 2 or 3 at a time in different spots.

I have no idea what was going on there. So they were right at the surface? Maybe it had something to do with spawning? I hope I run across some of them tonight. 12 inch shad are PRIME bait! Tight Lines!

Hey Katnip we'll be out tonight also where would be a good spot to start looking for some bait. will not be able to get there until about 9:00 pm. Thanks and tight lines..

Try Occoneechee Ramp Cove. There was tons of good sized bait flipping there Tuesday evening. I'm planning on fishing tonight as well, and that's where I'll be catching bait, unless I see some schools flipping in front of the house. Good Luck tonight!
