Are the stripers in the river near the steel bridge now? I would like to know if anyone fishes for them in this section of river near the Kerr Lake Dam

Fished that area for a while late Sunday morning. It was more of a fun day for the wife and daughter than a fishing day for me. Freelined shad from where water depth comes up to 8' down river for about a mile. No hits on shad but did pick up one casting a bucktail. The water was not moving but the wind sure was. Earlier in the morning would have been a much better time to be there.

does anyone know if there still getting any big blue cats up at kerr dam
