Drifted around buoy 15 on top of the lower half of Field's Island in the Junkman's area last night. Caught one 10 lber and no other bites. Fish was caught in 42 feet of water on a whole 7 inch fresh cut Gizzard Shad. Shad were caught in the back of Beaverpond Creek. The shad were very scattered in 4-6 feet of water. Only averaged netting one or two 6-8 inchers per every three throws.
Glad to hear you got back on the water. I'm hoping to give it a try this weekend........somewhere. Might take the cuddy out this weekend. Let ya know if I "do anything"!
We caught 2 Blues last night, nothing big at 10 and 17 lbs, but the boat was de-skunked at least! The 10 lber was caught near bouy 22 about a mile up from the RR bridge at Clarksville, and the 17 was caught near bouy 14. Both fish were caught on the old river channel edges with whole 7-8 inch cut gizzard shad. Bait was found easily in the Occoneechee Boat Ramp cove. Tight Lines!
