Is there a web site to find out when the water will be discharged at a higher rate than normal from Kerr...I will be at Gaston a few days next week and when this occurs it seems to turn the fish on ???
call the recorded message at 434-738-6371 ex 726. It is updated around 7am in the mornings & is always subject to change without notice. Generally they have been generating in the afternoons recently around 1-2 pm for anywhere from 2-6 hrs. For a trend look at the lake level page & you can see the most recent 3-4 day trend of the release schedule by the increase of the outflow through Kerr Dam. Usually they release more water Mon-Fri than on the weekends. Hope this helps ya.
You can go to the Dominion Power Company web site and find out the generation schedules for the lakes. I know I have the schedules for Gaston Dam and Roanoke Rapids. I agree with the above post as to calling. I also have the phone number to call in regard to generation schedules.
