Am planning to purchase a line counting reel.Anyone have recommendations on a good one?Most of the reviews say that shakespeare is good except one that said it was a piece of****-made in china,hard to get parts etc.Thanks for your suggestions.

I've had 2 Diawa Sealine line counter reels for about 14 years. Work great and no problems at all.

i use the sealine also an have had good service. i use the 47LC an the 27LC an am thinkin of gettin the newer 17LC. lots better than countin layers.

I have two Okuma Magda's that I really like.

I have two of the 17's that FISHDOC mentioned above, and ordered two of the larger ones last night to use with leadcore. These are very dependable (fishdoc has been using one for years with no problems)and are so easy to use.
