In case you haven't heard there is a fishng tackle loaner program spread around the lake at certain parks. For NO CHARGE you can borrow a rod and a tackle filled with great equipment. This is a great program and the word needs to be spread. Locations are at Henderson Point, Bullocksville, Satterwhite, Occoneechee S.P., Staunton River S.P., North Bend, and Rudds Creek. No excuse not to go fishing now, just show up and they give you everything you need!

I understand that if you walk around the parks you can pick up some of the "secret catfish bait" for free also.
