Got out today from light to around noon. Could not get on the bigger fish today. Caught 6 fish all day with three keepers. (4) on Ol Monster Black Grapes and (2) on Shakey Head rig. Pretty slow bite all day. All fish were in 8-14' of water.
Try throwing a Z Too or fluke type bait early in the morning before the sun gets high. I have used blue glimmer color early and had success over the same depth water you are talking about. There will usually be a few more active fish cruising early in the mornings and they will usually stike one of these baits. They don't normally work very well after the sun is up a bit, had my best luck with them up to around 9:30 or around points that are shaded from the sun for whatever reason later into the morning.
