Went today from 3 o'clock until dark. Fished the bridge piling from 12 to 18 foot deep and caught 8 or 10 small ones. Got bored and decided to go scouting. Found a place where about 10 fairly new trees had fell into the water and pulled up to it.(Halfway between the pump station and junk mans curve) The water wasn't but 9 foot deep so I knew that the chances were slim this time of year but tried it anyway. Caught 33 crappie in 2 hours with 9 headed to the fry daddy. Could not believe that they were shallow but that is what worked for me. I was fishing about 4 1/2 foot deep.
The wife and I had a blast.
