SNAP Floats

Thinking about purchasing some snap floats has anyone used them

Re: SNAP Floats

You mean the ones that have the button and the hook type relaese on them if so they are great for the grand kids because they work good for brim fishing but I like the slip floats and bobber stopper style of fishing because you can put the bait in fish zone better.

Re: SNAP Floats

Check out these floats if you are looking for release floats. These have been around for awhile and are tried and true. I have been using them for at least 3 years guiding for stripers. Watch the video showing how they work.

Re: SNAP Floats

Thanks guys for the info!!

Put in yesterday at Henderson point on the north side and no sooner left the dock and a lot of fish showed up on my fish finder. Managed to catch a dozen white bass the lb to lb and half range. Also picked up a couple of catfish at 3-4 lbs. Did not have any luck though trolling for the stripers.

Re: SNAP Floats

Bobber stops and baseball sized homemade floats the only way to go! Bobber stop winds right up in the reel...no stopping while fighting the fish to take float off (lose fish). Can set to any depth and if ya break off float you haven't lost anything.

Re: SNAP Floats

Another option is to rig a small swivel above your weight with a bobber stopper and a bead, blow up a small balloon and hook the swivel into the lip of the ballon.

What 79 cents to a 1.50 for a package of 50 balloons, you will spend almost three times that on one float.
