Went out of grassy creek both tue am and pm. Tues am was superb with fish hitting topwaters shallow. Any pocket with a creek channel and shallow structure good. Fish still in backs of these as long as deep water ditch/creek running into pocket. Caught several keepers before 8:30 am.

Started morning at bridge near Longwood - always expect something good here, but only a very large white bass, which was quite enjoyable. Shad were everywhere and the shoreline literally splashing as minnows/shad were running to bank. Still - no largemouth. Tried a wide range of lures. Don't understand why this excellent structure hasn't yielded any bass for me. Ideas welcomed! Will keep trying it.

Afternoon bite tougher with a few small fish coming off Crigs on points and structure off deeper banks. Tried shallow again late in the evening but nothing. No hits on slug-go type pearl, which I expected to get something late in the evening shallow.
