Went last night for 3 hours trying to catch a few channel cats. Caught shad in the marina cove and fished on perfect point in 15-20 foot of water. Fished with shad, shrimp, and night crawlers. Not one bite. Still beats working.
you should try near the rivers. from bridges to the split, and up the rivers. I went Sunday night, and the fish were biting like crazy up the staunton.

Fished yesterday evening from 6 til 9 or so. Caught shad right beside the launch ramp at buffalo landing and fished on the Staunton side about a mile up river from the mouth of Bluestone. Fished on a point from one of the coves up that way. Caught 7 fish in all, 6 nice channel cats and 1 flathead 14 lbs according to my cheap scales. Channels were caught on cut shad and shrimp and the flathead was caught on live shad suspended about a foot off of the bottom.
