My all-around light in the back of the tracker sticks up pretty high and is in the way of casting and usually gets whacked a few times. Not sure if it was up to specs but I put a peice of 4' threaded rod into a rod holder base in the middle of the boat and taped a white glow-stick to that. Does anybody know if a glow stick is bright enough to qualify as legal equipment for this application?
Ray, here is the Va reg...jfo
------

An anchor light is a 360 degree (all-round) white light exhibited where it can best be seen and visible for 2 miles.

yes led bow and stern lights are available, in bass pro or cabelas mag. or online, they are a bit pricy but will save alot of power, as for legal or not. im not sure but if you go by jfo's two mile visibility rule, if it is its legal.
