Coming from PA with 3 friends to fish lake for 1st time anything we need to know about the lake in particular, and what is the best part of lake to fish ie: upper, mid, lower, river etc. Any suggestions on bait, lures etc would be appreciated.we're not pros but a few guys who want to enjoy a few days at the lake and hopefully catch a few fish! Thanks to all who do respond!
Welcome to Lake country, biggest thing to look for is how much rain has fell a couple days prior to your visit.
If no heavy rain has fallen the whole lake should be good. Have put in at most landings on the lake in my 35 years of fishing & you can start fishing with success within 1/4 mile of any landing. The State Park in Clarksville is a good central location for the upper to mid lake area & is great fishing in May/June. If heavy rains have just fell fish the lower part of the lake or go to Rudd crk. Enjoy your stay & watch the weather & this board.
