Hey ya'll I need some help. I'm takeing my family to north bend campground this weekend. We're from the outer banks. Never been to Kerr Dam. I heard there are some big cats and some rockfish there. Any info and fishing spots that will keep the kids pulling them in would help. Also what are the regs. on rockfish this time of year? Thanks for the help.

Don't really know any spots for the Rockfish other than between the banks.They have to be 26 inches minimum and a two per day creel limit until June 1.

Do you have a boat? If from shore fish the third ramp towards the back of the camping sections. Fish the little cove to the right of the launch at dusk. If from boat hit the flats behind Gil. Island past the Rock Wall. Always had luck with my kids there
