Looking for some info on where to catch a few eating size channel cats this coming up weekend. Bringing a few kids that would like to catch some and have a little fish fry. Any info on baits, depth, and location would be greatly appreciated.

BD, you don't have to go far or long to get that done. Try some chicken livers or stink bait....if you can catch some shad use some cut shad. With the kids I'd recommend some baseball bobbers and maybe stay around or just upstream of the RR bridge in Clarksville. I'd start on the CLK side, hang the baits up off the bottom. Took the kids saturday evening and fished from about 4 till dark. Caught 11 nice cats in the 2 to 4 pound range which was just what we were looking for. Most were caught on fresh shrimp and the rest were caught on cut small butterbean shad. All were caught around the Osprey tower(power line tower) just upstream of the RR trussel. Fun was had by all.
