What are the bass doing now? Are they still spawning? Best way to catch them to concentrate on 2-8' water with plastics? Any help would be appreciated. Making a 4 hour drive late Thrusday night to get some time on the water this weekend.

i was there this past weekend and fishing was slow with the tournament being there as well. but we still got 31 in the boat. we only hit them on the points with 6 in lizards on a carolina rig. with this warm weather moving in th water temp will rise to about 70. should start getting very active at that temp. hope this was helpful

Just wondering, if 31 bass is a slow day, what can a person expect on a good bass day? Jenx

Thanks for the reply. The cooler weather Friday may keep them off the banks as well, just have to go fishing and see what happens.

Visitor to the lake this week with a good friend that lives on the lake (SW area). We fished 4-5 creeks up north today with some success. Most came on plastics (lizards) right on cover. Very few in the very backs of coves. Saw almost NO action with regard to beds...spawned out?? We're trying secondary points near deep water tomorrow on the south and easy end of the lake...thinking Carolina rigs in 6-15' might be the answer.
