I'm coming to Buggs next week 5/3-5/6 to fish for bass. Just wanting to know if the fish are bedding in Nutbush area, would I be better off fishing up the river. Thanks
Generally the upper end as well as coves on the northern banks will warm first. As far as when the bass are on the beds, I have no idea. I would assume you will see quite a few during the next full moon if the temps are in the correct range.
BASS ARE SPAWNING NOW, AT LEAST THE MALES ARE BUILDING NEST OR FANNING THEM NOW. FISHED PANHANDLE TO ISLAND CREEK YESTERDAY AND HAD A FAIR DAY. FISH WE CAUGHT WERE IN A FOOT OR SO OF WATER BACK IN COVES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE LAKE. ALL BUCK BASS AND NOTHING OVER 3 POUNDS. CAUGHT ALL FISH ON WEIGHTLESS SENKOS.
