Dropping the bottom

With the water level moving up and down so much, will the females make their nest on the old shore line or the current shore line.

fish hard, live easy

Re: Dropping the bottom

90% of females will bed at 297/298 lake level.which is currently 4 to 6 feet under water surface. they have always beded at that level and iI dont think that'll change this year...unfortunate that this years spawn will be tuff unless you have eagle eyes with no wind...ahd if you plan on seeing a spawner you had better be in clear water..nutbush for instance, given the right conditions you may be able to sightfish a little but looks like the bass will be gone before we are able to really take advantage of sightfishing. some of the larger females will spawn in the willow bushes while the water is still up, but they'll be gone fast. these bass will be verrrrry deep in the bushes, and will come and go quick...they will still be all over the place though, so throw some buzzbaits spinnerbaits, and jigs near bushes and crank your dropoffs where the spawning flats meet deeper water and you should have some good weight come 3:00

hope that helps,
