The "wind gods" were not with me this past Sunday. I rode my motorcycle to Wichita, Friday night, with the plan on getting up early on Sunday; head home and get my gear.



Wind was blowing great from my right side all the way to Emporia, but then the clouds came and everything came to a stop.



Got home...nothing happening, so I said, what the heck, I'll ride the motorcycle down to Melvern and visit the folks. I was there about an hour and the sun comes out, along with the wind... . Did see and meet a couple of guys from K.C. and Lawrence who were ripping it up on kites!



Oh well...thinking of getting off work, early, this Wednesday...forecast is for some wind! Heading to Melvern.

According to weather.com, it looks like there may be some wind this Sunday (19mph S, SW)...the "old man" and myself will be at Melvern in the afternoon running our AHD FD 87's...any takers?
