IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The North Texas Wind Riders are pleased to announce:

WHAT: 2003 Texas State Championships and Windsurfing Festival

DATES: Friday, May 2nd (evening) thru Sunday May 4th, 2003

VENUE: McCown Valley Park, Lake Whitney, Texas

This is the return of NTWR's annual event, with activities for

everyone in the family. Kids camps, clinics, parties and even some

windsurfing. Fleets will be determined by those who want to race.

Fleets to be run include: a Fun Fleet for beginners, a 7.5 (sail

size) Limited fleet and an anything goes Open Fleet. Additionally,

we'll run a fleet for any "one design" that pre-registers 5 racers.

Formula, Techno, Prodigy, Start, you name it. Fleets with more than

10 racers will have weight breaks.

Besides the racing, there will be a Friday night welcoming party,

lots of activities to keep the kids busy on Saturday, sailing

clinics, a dinner party Saturday evening and the trophy/prize

giveaway on Sunday. We'll have multiple crash boats and radio

equipped spotters for your safety on the water. And for you after-

sailing fun, multiple kegs of freshly brewed adult beverage. After

umpteen years, we pretty much have this event dialed in.

Sponsors so far include: Mariner Sails, Central Subaru, Homebrew

Headquarters, Shuttleworth Embroidery, Composite 21, Dog House

Entertainment and the North Texas Wind Riders. And the list is still

growing.
