Wood Preservative treatment for 10 foot pine fence posts
Looking for information on wood preservative treatment for pine fence posts. I understand that bluestone is commonly used. Would appreciate if anyone can give me tips/information on recipe, i.e., how much I need to treat 100 posts, length of soaking time for dry posts, etc.?
Re: Wood Preservative treatment for 10 foot pine fence posts
bluestone works better on aspen/poplar posts but may be passible on green pine. cut now when sap is going up the tree. mix 1 gallon bluestone in 20 gallons water and stand posts in big end down old 45 gallon drum with top out works fine, one day is enough time add more solution as needed. if you need more info let me know
