Ruby V. Kibbe, 80, Stigler, died Thursday, 28 Feb 2002 in a local nursing center. Funeral


services were held in Arnett Christian Church. Burial in DeBolt Cemetery in Arnett was


under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler. Miss Kibbe was born


5 Dec 1921 to Edwin and Lela (Lyles) Kibbe in Maplewood, MO. She grew up in


Missouri where she received her education. She moved with her family to Arnett, where


she began a career with the Oklahoma Department of Health and Human Services. She


served as a case worker in a career that spanned some 43 years until her retirement. She


loved helping others and was a dedicated church member. She enjoyed crocheting and


cross stitch, and entered many projects in numerous fairs where she won ribbons and


awards. During her childhood she belonged to the 4-H club. She was an avid reader, and


enjoyed visits from her family and friends. She especially loved surprising her family and


friends with homemade gifts. She is survived by one sister, Vera Hatfield of Stigler;


numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her


parents; two brothers, George Kibbe and Harry Kibbe.
