What saith the (singular) script-u-are (of twain and contrary scriptures)?
Three Wishes: Grace Mercy Peace.
In Galatians 4, which flat out states scriptures written aforetime for our learning (Rom 15:4) are an allegory (a story with a moral, like a parable).
And in Gal 4 Paul The Apostle both asks and allegorically answers the question: what saith the script-u-are? Answer: cast out the bondwoman and her son!
The bondwoman? This Agar is Mt Sinai (the law)
Her son? The result of the law: sin & death
So, the script-u-are of allegorical scriptures written aforetime for our learning saith cast out the law and the result of the law: sin & death.
Obvious benefit: no more condemnation or death; no more fear hath torment; no more law worketh wrath; no more lying, crying, and dying (for no amount of such will ever change the immutable will of God: "I will have mercy(grace), and not sacrifice(law)".
And until we all get it: understanding, we're all groundead, since there is no respect of persons with God and a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
