Re: Faith will

A conclusion determined by study of a collection of stories in a book called the “Holy Bible” and The Biography of the Bible, by Earnest Southerland Bates. But mostly just plain common sense, logic, truth and reality. Faith not necessary!!!

Approximately 1000 years BCE Jews began to write the Bible in the form it is known today. Their account of people and events were created in order to make them appear more important than other known cultures. To obtain more respect they fashioned their own national “God”. The history of Israel from the “creation” to Moses, began with.... Moses. Jews give Moses credit for writing the first five books of their Bible. It's doubtful Moses wrote the first books of the Bible. There is no substantial evidence Moses was a real person.
Moses used a phenomena of nature to conjure a power outside the realm of men to provoke fear of the unknown. He stood at the base of Mt. Sinai, pointed to the smoke, thunder and lightening at it's peak and said “God”. Fear of “God” was intended to enforce laws that could change the destiny of mankind. Those laws were of course the Mosaic laws not the Ten Commandments. The Mosaic laws promoted ethnic cleansing. Not by genocide but through disassociation.
So absurd was the notion of their “God”, other nations and cultures ignored them. That is until some recognized the possibility of using religion for profit. Priest and Pharisees were already heaping riches to them selves while keeping Israel bondage to a myth. To maintain control they kept the true knowledge of “God” hidden from common people. Today Rabbis keep that secret hidden by purposely complicating access to the “Holy Words” and the scrolls upon which they are written. They burden their already cumbersome religion with amendments and petty rules meant to confuse and frustrate.
The “God” Adam, Noah. Abraham and Isaac associated with was quite different from the “God” portrayed on Mt. Sinai. The Adam “God” appears kind and much more human. Adam walked in the garden with “God”. Abel and “God” ate lamb chops fried in grease together. Enoch spent a lot of time with “God” and finally decided to stay with Him. Noah was close to “God” and “God” gave him a special task as a reward for being righteous. However that was no easy thing gathering all those critters. There is no indication “God” assisted Noah in any manner. Surely “God” helped Noah collect walruses and penguins from the Arctic ocean
Moses seems a bit confused. Exodus Chapter 24; v. 10 and 11 The elders saw “God” and were not harmed. Exodus chap. 33; v. 11; “God” talked to Moses face to face. Verse 33, in the same chapter “God” said no man can look upon him and live. “God” placed Moses in a rock crevice and showed him his ass.
So, Daniel Miles and Last Adam, if the Bible is all the proof you have of a “God”.... You have a problem. You have a LOT, I mean a LOT to learn. I did not find one document, nor one letter, signed by “God”.. Filthy depraved little men cannot validate his existence simply by saying he exist. No!! Nothing on Earth can prove his existence simply because things are! Humans could have outgrown the need for a god thousands of years ago.
Earthlings are so naive they imagine this is where it all began. Earth and this universe are microscopic within the scheme of all that is and was!! Simple little men who measure this universe using marks on a stick (inches) cannot even imagine the event or place which is the beginning. Men created “time” and know not what it is!!
Mankind is intended to improve and perfect, not remain constant or even degenerate as they have!!

Re: Faith will

Iam ThatIam, I'm not proposing any of the Bible is literal or historical, since in Galatians 4:22-24 it seems to define itself as being all allegorical in both convenants(testaments). However that does not make it irrelevant, but an allegoric mystery to solve by seek and find, with clues about what to seek and what to find.

But thanks for your Earnest Southerland Bates diatribe.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.

Re: Faith will

The only only mystery about the Bible is, why does a mystery exist?? The reason a mystery exist: The bible is written by men about a “God”. Men are not worthy to write or speak for any “God”! Since men do not truly know “God” or any god they are mystified!!!
The mystery of existence is no mystery at all. Having substance is proof of existence. The mystery of a god is no mystery at all. A god made of gold or wood exist. The proof “God” does not exist is the fact ____ does not exist. There is no substance. The mystery of “hell” is no mystery at all. The mystery of “heaven”, is no mystery at all. Hell and heaven are fiction created by fevered, greedy minds. The proof they do not exist is, the fact ____ do not exist. There is no substance. The mystery of a “spirit” is no mystery at all. A ____ has no substance and cannot exist. The mystery of a soul is no mystery at all. The proof a soul does not exist is; a ___ does not exist. I'm clueless.

Re: Faith will

I was led here by my dreams. My faith in learning and wanting to know more about God. My dreams keep coming true as reality. No one has an explanation for them, but it shows me something more than death, if I can predict the future with out any control over it then it means something is in control of my life and I dont want to be a puppet any more.. I want control back.

Re: Faith will

Those words are familiar. You have used them before. They are not of yourself.
You should not tempt those you do not know.
A dream is a delusion. To nurture a dream is disrespectful to TRUTH and reality.
What is it you seek, Adam????

Re: Faith will

Hey Iam ThatIam, Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father, and Jesus Christ out Lord. Re: Mystery, seems why "mystery", and "mysteries", occur in Bible is to spark our curiosity, help us learn, that if Law & Grace are so contrary such cannot co-exist in peace, then Law has to be put away to have Grace, mercy, peace; aka peace that lasts.

For me, I discovered, by help of Spirit revelation, study, experience, that not only OT Law, but also NT BetterLaw (Love Enemies) has to be put away; Since even with BetterLaw (aka do no harm), one can still receive harm, aka have Jeopardy, if still have enemies, by still have enmity(law). But when all Law is put away, it's like an upgrade from do no harm, to also receive no harm. So I eventually also put away the f-law thoughts of having enemies.

Re: Faith will

Hey Daniel;
The words I write to your forum are not to attack you or your character. I know when words are of yourself and when they are not. The Words I write are intended to remove obstacles that may obscure the truth. I acknowledge the fact that you are very familiar with the contents of the Bible. I respect that. Should I have need for information within the Bible I would certainly consult you. Thank you for maintaining this forum.
