Marriage Laws

Can you help me with Laws of marriage? I haven't been on here in awhile. But I found someone I want to spend my life with. She is married and the place she lives at and is illegal to get a divorce. I don't believe in marriage by law because of a lot of the help you have done for me in understanding through the Bible. Can you explain the different verses and in marriage in the Bible? I know it is misrepresented and misinterpreted in terms of how they are read and used. I want to make sure I gain what I need to use for the future. The Catholic Church has priority in how the law is written over this situation. Like always I propose action which is what I am good at in changing how people view these situations and traditions. Whether I have said it before or not, I appreciate what you have done for me towards understanding the Bible.

Thanks, Adam

P.S. We have changed the world. You have helped me accomplish that. History is our name.

Re: Marriage Laws

Hey Last Adam, Grace, mercy, peace.
Thanks for compliment, I needed a hug. Glad to hear you found someone you'd like to have as companion. Happy for you.

Indeed, seems any marriage, if by law, can also end by law (as law "love" can wax cOLD: Matthew 24:12 KJV); Yet, as you report, it's 'illegal' to divorce, and end it, which is a silly rule in my opinion.

I don't see God's grace having any such legal or illegal rule. Thank God lots of marriages that begin in churchy law mode also grow in grace so love never waxes cOLD. For the twain of 'better or worse' ends bad, with 'worse'. As such, let's notice Jesus' good and/or evil law-twains end bad. Eg: Mt 12:30-37 twains all end bad. Seems why Jesus said, in John 16:7, that he had to go away, for he still had both salvation + damnation('krisis') = bad end (rhymes with crISIS); So it's expedient for you if he goes away. For in Christ mode it's salvation only, and for all; No damnation nor condemnation to any in his grace.

The only marriage allegory worth looking at in Bible is Romans 7:1-4, which allegorizes how a woman is bound to law(husband) as long as law(husband) liveth, so she/we ought to let law(old husband) be dead testator so she/we can be espoused to Christ = the end of the law. Then she/we no adultress. Even us men are that woman, aka bride of Christ allegory.

Hope that gave you some peace. If I think of more to say, I'll post more.

Yes, we are changing the world, yet not by forcing grace on any; Rather by being grace, mercy, peace ourselves, and sharing the merciful peace we have in our heart when it's established with grace.

The grace of our Lord Jesus→Christ [be/is] WITH you all. Amen.

Thanks Buddy!

Re: Marriage Laws

Adultery; Why would someone who is not bound by the law of God; and is free of the law of God; Worry about committing adultery? Why would any one free of the laws of God, worry about any of the Ten Commandments?? It seems the solution to any laws or rules concerning God, is to declare them unnecessary, or just call it an OLD law, law. How about the 1st. Commandment?
That's what is so amusing about today's take on Christianity.. It's constantly morphing. Christianity is a user-friendly religion. If certain rites and traditions are unsavoury, just move to the congregation down the street.
Why just deal with adultery? Thou shalt not steal. There are degrees of theft. There is armed theft, deceptive theft and fraud to name a few. Truth is, it's all stealing. Thou shalt not kill. Kill is also described in degrees but it is always killing. People can accidentally kill but no one accidentally commits adultery. Maybe by deception.
You, Last Adam felt adultery was wrong because the laws of right or wrong are written in your mind. You are near the Fire.. Adultery has a definition. There are no ifs, ands or buts. How you react to adultery will change your destiny as well as the future of others. If you thought adultery is wrong, it is. But if you are free of obedience of the laws; Deal with it.

Re: Marriage Laws

You have a lot to learn Old chumb, just make sure not to drown in the blood.

Re: Marriage Laws

Your right, The Last Adam, I do have a lot to learn. Teach me.

Re: Marriage Laws

Faith will.

Re: Marriage Laws

FAITH; Unquestionable belief.
UNQUESTIONABLE; Not to be questioned; doubted or disputed;
BELIEF; Confidence, trust.

Faith is a process of the human brain. A process has no substance and does not exist. Only the result of a process can exist.
Faith has no power. Faith WILL not alter the composition of a subject or an object. Faith WILL not cause a cotton thread to be stronger than it is.
Faith is begotten of knowledge. When all questions concerning a subject or an object are answered truthfully, and satisfies the quest for knowledge then one may experience faith (unquestionable belief) in that object or subject.
Faith WILL not teach because it cannot teach. Faith is a mental response to having been taught.
I still have a lot to learn. Teach me.
