Long before men learned to write, history was kept alive through song and legend. Unwritten rules were established and applied which allowed men to live together in communities. After a suitable alphabet was implemented rules and laws to manage people were chiseled in stone or written on clay tablets.

The sixth Babylonian king, Hammurabi, enacted the code, and partial copies exist on a human-sized stone stile and various clay tablets
The Code of Hammurabi was one of several sets of laws in the ancient Near East. The code of laws was arranged in orderly groups, so that everyone who read the laws would know what was required of them. Earlier collections of laws include the Code of Ur-Nammu, king of Ur (c. 2050 BC), the Laws of Eshnunna (c. 1930 BC) and the codex of Lipit-Ishtar of Isin (c. 1870 BC), while later ones include the Hittite laws, the Assyrian laws, and Mosaic Laws. These codes come from similar cultures in a relatively small geographical area, and they have passages which resemble each other.
The Mosaic laws seem to parallel many of the laws of Hammurabi. The Mosaic Laws are more severe when dealing with transgression that would compromise the preservation of righteousness. The punishment for many violations was death by stoning or banishment.
Code of laws have no power. The power is in obedience or disobedience. Both can alter the process by which humanity develops. Obedience could free mankind from the bonds of ignorance and superstition. Disobedience can lead to wickedness and depravity.
The course and intent of the Mosaic laws is to CAUSE a righteous people through OBEDIENCE by a man, by a woman----- to PERFECT not a man, not a woman but a people.
Moses used a phenomenon of nature to conjure a power outside the realm of men to persuade obedience of the laws through fear of the unknown. The further the people wandered from the thunder and lightning on Mt. Sinai the less they feared the unknown. They also had less use for the Mosaic laws. Soon they cast them aside and recognized the Ten Commandments only.
The Mosaic law is the “stone” rejected by the builders. That stone is the “cornerstone” upon which a nation of righteous people should be founded.

In the NT, of OT/NT, the only "foundation" laid to build up-on is Jesus Christ: 1Corinthians 3:11, aka grace and truth: John 1:17, aka not laws and lies. Furthermore, even PluralGod hath NOT spake to us by prophets in TimePast = BC, but by Son in LastDays = AD: Hebrews 1:1,2 KJV.

So I'd have to disagree with your conclusion.

Seems the only law "given by Moses", was Genesis 2:17, which when added to Genesis 2:16 makes this oxy-moron: every tree + not every tree. So the question to the woman was: did God say Gen 2:17? For if God did it would make God an oxy-moron: divided against himself. Eg:

- Gen 2:16 = every tree, freely = grace = of God = above
- Gen 2:17 = not every tree = surely die = law = under.

As for Jesus Christ, the 2SonsJesus part is not peace, but division; But the 1SonChrist part is peace, not division. So we have peace with God through Jesus→Christ: Romans 5:1, since Jesus was only the mend of the law, but Christ is the end of the law.

Eg: Christ→↓Jesus↓ will say keep the law.
But Jesus→↑Christ↑ will say flush the law.

So true Christ of Jesus→Christ neither obeyed nor disobeyed any law, but obeyed grace and flushed the law (given by Moses) as if dung. For BetterLaw is NotYet Grace NorYet Truth; Which is why Apostle Paul ToHebrews ends Hebrews with Grace (not BetterLaw).

As for the 'history' you note, well, we only have to go back 100 yrs to see history contains lies, such as Titanic sank, when it was actually Olympic that got deliberately sunk for the in$urance. Look at the official story for 9/11... pkg of lies. So I put no stock in history, and suggest law contained in flaw should not even be mentioned, which is how Bible ends proper.

Apostle Paul, in Galatians 4, seems to say it's all "allegory" in both covenants(testaments); So neither literal nor historical. Considering the "mystery" aspect, it becomes allegoric-mystery to solve by seek and find, aka find grace (truth thereof), in time, to help a-void the f-law of wrath to come by those saying RuleOfLaw should be NWO. That's like a drawback to perdition.
