Babylon

I came across Micah 4:10. Could anyone shed light on the significance of Babylon? Kindergarten style, if you'd please.

Re: Babylon

Hi Maya,
Grace, mercy, and peace, from
God, our Father, and Jesus Christ our Lord.

First some general info about Micah:
- Micah is law and prophets, which end prior to the kingdom of God even beginning to be preached. Eg: Luke 16:16. Point: Law and prophets is not Grace and truth. Aka it's OLD Testament, and so RETRO it's ready to "vanish away": Hebrews 8:13. Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new: 1Corinthians 5:17. For Christ is the end of the law: Romans 10:4.

- Micah 4:10 speaks to "daughter of Zion". But Zion is not Sion in OT, and Zion is never mentioned in NT.

- So Jesus speaks to "daughter of Sion" (not Zion) when entering Jerusalem on an ass... b/c Romans 11:26 says this: "all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob". Sion is the heavenly Jerusalem in Hebrews 12:22.

Now some Babylon info:
- Babylon means 'Babel' which means 'confusion'. So 1Corinthians 14:33 says God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace.

- OT Babylon was a place where Jews got carried away to. NT Babylon can allegorically mean Rome or Jerusalem, since it refers to that great city as if a whore: a mother of harlots and abominations of the earth in Revelation. It seems when 1Peter 5:13 mentions [the church that is] at "Babylon", he may be referring to the Roman Catholic Church at Rome; Yet it seems that great city in Revelation is where Jesus was crucified. So it's open to interpretation.

- I humorously say Baby-lon, since Apostle Paul called the Hebrews "babes" still needing milk in Hebrews 5:13, for they can't yet discern what's both good and evil is law. Grace is good only. God is good only.

- Babylon is something "great" that is "is fallen, is fallen"; As if twice fallen to great<--greater<--greatest. Great can also refer to "great terror", aka Moses' law (because it was great terror to all Israel), and to "great tribulation", aka mega trouble, and to "great voice", which is also a "loud voice" in Revelation.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.
