What do you think about a Servant.

Re: What do you think about a Servant.

Grace to you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord JC.

Objective is be above a servant, more than a slave:
Philemon 1:16,
"not now a servant, but above a servant"

since both kinds of servants in the Bible:
"servants of sin" & "servants of righteous"
are servants, slaves, neither are yet free.

In Matthew 18:23-35 a servant gets
forgiven + un-forgiven + tormented.

So John 15:15 basically says:
servants = kNOW not; friends = kNOW;
for servants know not what their lord doeth.

It's like allegory saying:
law = now not; grace = now.
bondage = not now; freedom = now.

Prophets are servants: Revelation 10:7.

So Luke 16:16 notes
law & prophets expired at beheading of John,
then the kingdom of God began being preached:
"The law and the prophets [were] until John:
since that time the kingdom of God is preached,
and every man presseth into it".

It allegory compares law & grace as child & man,
law being "childish", to be put away: 1Cor 13:11,
grace being blessedness of man: Ps 32:2 (Rom 4:8).

So law = prophets = servant mode = child mode,
all having an expiry date, as Galatians 4 notes,
first noting child differs nothing from servant,
then such had a "fullness of time" which expired.

In Acts 6:5 there are seven chosen to "serve",
but things only noted about the first and last:
first: Stephen: full of Holy Ghost (full of death)
last = Nicolas: proselyte (hellish child: Mt 23:15)

The con-cept of choosing whom you will serve,
is as foolish as if choosing death1 or death2.

True God has no servants. Grace is freedom.

The grace of our Lord JC be with you all. Amen.
